 Dr. Ted Dahlstrom

One of the co-founders of ACM, Dr. Ted has been in practice since 1987.  After graduating from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine he practiced for a short time in Neosho Misouri, his home town, before opening the Animal Clinic of Monett in 1989. A mixed animal practicioner, Dr. Ted currently specializes mainly in Production Medicine.  He spends a good amount of his time serving as the Senior Veterinarian for Joplin Regional Stockyards, a role he has filled since 1995. Understandibly, Dr. Ted is well known and respected by Southwest Missouri's cattle producers, a relationship solidified by the fact he is a cattle producer himself.  Dr. Ted spends his free time with his family and  tending to his large beef herd on his farm near Monett.

Dr. Carol Dahlstrom

After graduating from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 1988, Dr. Carol opened ACM with Dr. Ted.  Dr. Carol is a mixed animal veterinarian but spends most of her time treating companion animals and exotics.  Our clients fondly know her simply as Dr. Carol and have trusted her for over 20 years to tend to their furry family members.  After growing up in Stratford CT, where she still has family, Dr. Carol moved to the midwest where she made her home.  She loves traveling and learning foreign languages and in her free time knits, sews, plays the cello, practices yoga, gardens and cooks.  By that list you can tell she is a busy lady and she also shares her home with three teenage children, Dr. Ted, 6 dogs, 2 cats, 2 horses, a flock of chickens, 2 birds, fish and herd of cattle.  Dr. Carol loves the constant challenges and learning opportunities veterinary medicine has to offer.  She is pictured here with her Australian Shephard "Tater" that is also a beloved ACM staff member.

Dr. John HarperDr. John Harper

Dr. Harper joined ACM's staff in 1994 after responding to Dr. Carol's (his fellow UMC graduate) request to come to Southwest Missouri and practice.  Dr. John who grew up in northwest Missouri, received his DVM from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 1989.  His habitual cowboy hat and boots have made him an easily recognizable favorite of ACM's clientele.  Dr. Harper practices mixed animal medicine but spends most of his time taking care of horses and cattle.  He is also a talented small animal orthopedic surgeon. He spends his free time with his wife, grown son and teenage daughter.

Dr. Jarod Grantland
